THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! The Art of Caring for Others Charity Wine Dinner event was a HUGE success and $32,000 was raised for the Clinic. Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our generous sponsors, our fabulous attendees, and everyone that was gracious enough to donate even though they could not attend the actual event. It was a wonderful evening featuring a menu prepared by award-winning Chef, Sharon Hage. This unique event was held at 3015 at Trinity Groves, in the trendy Trinity Groves area, and the evening celebrated not only the art of caring for others but the culinary arts, photography and painting. The evening began with acclaimed special guest artists in attendance, showcasing their work, with dinner guests bidding on their original pieces of art. Photographer David Rubin was unable to attend but Heather Hodges, Steve McElroy and Roseann Roth were all in attendance. The evening started with a champagne reception, passed hors‘doeuvres, including caviar, while guests mingled with the artists and admired their work. This was followed by a four-course meal, with wine pairings, all expertly prepared by Chef Hage. The menu included chilled scallop with smoked trout on a salad of green apples and endives, ivory lentil bisque with buttered egg and a hint of truffle, and Wagyu beef, peppered seared, with Texas sweet onion pan jus. Wines included Chateau St. Jean Bijou, Chardonnay, California 201, Nicky Hahn, Pinot Noir, California 2013, and Alexander Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County 2012. After preparing and plating this incredible meal, Chef Hage then personally greeted each table, making the evening priceless. If you were not able to join us this year, we look forward to having you next year!
