ART OF CARING DINNER AND AUCTION A HUGE SUCCESS
The Art of Caring Dinner and Art Auction was scheduled to be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Clearly God wanted it to be another date, because He sent the ice storm of the year that closed most businesses and roads in Dallas that day and the next. Thanks to the gracious staff at the Dallas Country Club and the flexibility of our speaker, sponsors, and guests, we were able to reschedule quickly for Tuesday, February 8th. Gratefully many of our guest were still able to come and enjoy the beautiful music played by prodigies Kaitlyn and Jayden Ouyang while they visited with friends, met artists, board members and volunteers, and shopped for beautiful artistic items in the silent auction. The program was inspiring and helped the audience learn our history and more about the mission we have continued for 20 years. Steven Bradford, Chairman of the Board, thanked and recognized our sponsors and volunteers, and then presented the first Art of Caring award to Dr. Michael Harris, the skilled and generous ophthalmologist who has seen patients at Christ’s Family Clinic since the beginning. He also donated the equipment for our ophthalmology exam and treatment room. A delicious dinner was followed by an insightful, witty, and comprehensive presentation by Richard Fisher. Everyone left with a much fuller appreciation for the current state of our economy and what to expect in the coming year. Thanks to the tremendous generosity of our sponsors, donors, and guests, this was by far our most successful event ever. We are grateful to those of you who were able to be there at the event, and to those of you who were unable to attend but supported us financially or with your prayers. We hope you will continue to support Christ’s Family Clinic in the coming year and for years to come!
