Christ’s Family Clinic is pleased to announce the appointment of April Laffitte to the Board of Directors. April comes to CFC with a wealth of knowledge, energy, passion and experience.
April Lafitte was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in Finance. After graduation, April was hired to work for Merrill Lynch in Las Vegas, Nevada and later transferred to the Merrill Lynch office in Dallas, Texas. April joined the family firm in 1998 and she continues to manage the Dallas branch.
April was taught at an early age to always try to make a difference by supporting your community. She was a member of Dallas Junior League, Dallas Museum of Art Junior Associates and Associates Programs, Dallas Arboretum, and Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. April chaired the Child Abuse Prevention Centers Celebrity Waiter Gala two years in a row in 2008 and 2009 to help raise awareness against child abuse and domestic violence.
When the Super Bowl came to the City of Dallas in 2010, April was tapped on the shoulder by Diane & Daryl Johnston to become a member of the Super Bowl Committee where she spent endless hours helping to promote the City of Dallas. April has been on the board of the Clayton Dabney Foundation, My Possibilities Foundation, The Arthritis Foundation, as well as the Advisory Board for Sovereign Bank.
When April is not managing an office or volunteering her time, you will find her spending time with her husband, Rick Lafitte and their three adult children, Russell, Walker and Stephanie and their spouses. She is devoted to her family and friends and always finds a way to put her family and friends first.
