Jeweler Extraordinaire Bachendorf’s Donates Stunning Diamond Earrings to The Art of Caring Dinner & Art Auction

In the world of fine jewelry, few names carry the weight of tradition and excellence quite like Bachendorf’s. We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Bachendorf’s has generously donated a pair of stunning teardrop diamond earrings for our upcoming Art Of Caring Dinner & Art Auction, adding a touch of timeless elegance to the occasion.

The story of Bachendorf’s is a journey through four generations and over 100 years of impeccable craftsmanship. The tale begins with Abram Bock, who, in 1900, learned the art of jewelry making as an apprentice in St. Petersburg, Russia. His dedication to the craft led him to Memel, Germany, where he established a flourishing jewelry business in 1928.

In 1947, Abram, along with his son Harry and daughter Ali, made the pivotal move to Dallas, where Abram’s four brothers had settled before the war. The legacy continued as Abram opened A. Bock Manufacturing Jeweler (now known as Bock Jewelry Co., Inc.) in downtown Dallas in 1948, initially focusing on jewelry repairs. As the business expanded, Abram ventured into selling diamonds, utilizing connections in Belgium from before the war.

Harry Bock, after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, with a major in retailing, joined his father’s business in 1955. Under Abram’s watchful eye, Harry discovered a special gift for purchasing and marketing diamonds. The duo embarked on their first buying trip to Belgium in 1962, further establishing the family’s foothold in the jewelry industry.

In 1977, Harry took the reins and opened the first Bachendorf’s store, marking a new chapter in the family’s legacy. His dedication and expertise propelled the brand to new heights. Harry’s son, Lawrence, continues the family tradition, preserving the values of loyalty, honesty, and quality that have been the foundation of Bachendorf’s success.

Bachendorf’s commitment to celebrating family and milestones is evident in their hand-selected diamonds, designer jewelry, and timepieces. Since their inaugural retail store opening in 1977, the Bachendorf’s family takes pride in serving the community with unique custom and designer jewelry, creating memorable experiences for every visitor.
