Building Health Through Service: Christ’s Family Clinic and YMSL St. Mark’s Partnership

Over the past seven months, Christ’s Family Clinic has had the tremendous privilege of partnering with the Young Men’s Service League (YMSL) chapter based out of St. Mark’s. This dedicated group of young men and their mothers has played a pivotal role in spreading awareness about our Clinic and the vital services we provide to the uninsured community in Dallas.

Through their volunteer efforts, the YMSL members have distributed flyers across neighborhoods, community centers, retail locations and local events throughout the city. This outreach initiative has been essential in helping us connect with individuals who might otherwise remain unaware of the health care resources available to them. By reaching these communities, the YMSL’s work has directly contributed to an increase in patient engagement and access to care at Christ’s Family Clinic.

The impact of their efforts cannot be overstated. As a Clinic dedicated to offering comprehensive primary care, preventative services, and specialty referrals for uninsured adults, our mission relies heavily on ensuring that those who need care know where and how to access it. Thanks to YMSL’s dedication, we’ve seen more individuals coming through our doors, seeking everything from annual exams and diabetes management to specialty consultations.

We are incredibly grateful for the compassion and commitment demonstrated by these young leaders and their families. Partnerships like this embody the spirit of service and remind us of the power of community in fostering better health for all.
